The mothers of children martyred in the brazen attack by the Taliban on APS Peshawar gave a 48-hour deadline to the government and the military to make public the inquiry report of December 16 massacre, or else they will come out on roads and stage protests.
The parents of martyred children gathered on Monday and criticised the government and the army over their failure to bring the militants to justice.
It was the mothers this time, who did most of the talking as fathers of the martyred children avoided centre-stage during a news conference, where the former demanded of the interior minister to tender his resignation.
The mothers of martyred children said Chaudhry Nisar has said in a press conference that government had prior information about such attack, however, they did nothing. He should resign.
The government and the army are responsible for the killing of the children, the leaders should answer our questions, they maintained.
A mother, while talking to The Express Tribune, said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has also failed to fulfill his promise as he had promised the parents that inquiry of the incident will be made public in 16 days.
The parents of martyred children announced that they will take out a rally in Peshawar on Saturday to record their protest. They further asked the people from all walks of life to join their protest and help them get justice.

PTI & KPK govt can perform dramas only what he showed at D chowk for 100 day. Had IK given some attention to kpk govt affairs, situation would have been improved by some extent.
@Civilian:
Judging by your response, it can be clearly deduced that the KPK government is only there to make sure that its functionaries are mere puppets in the hands of a loony sitting in Banigala who are suppose to dance their backsides off on top of a container while diverting billions of KPK taxpayers money to D-Chowk fasad even though the same government does not know what to do with its PSDP and lets 65% of it lapse during the fiscal year 2013-2014. Notwithstanding that it was completely powerless in thwarting an episode such as the one on 16th December, KPK government yet again made it's revolutionary presence felt when it allocated 21 cars to the motorcade of IK when he visited APS with his missus for a photo shoot and baton charged those poor parents who were protesting against the ineptness of the provisional government.
With all due respect my kind Sir, don't you think that in light of such meek and failed governance; KPK government ought to be thrown out immediately? IK should thank his lucky stars that a noble and a principled man in Nawaz Sharif is running the federal government at the moment. Had there been Zardari right now, KPK government would have been sent packing a long time ago.
@Explain: yes it happens but reduction could be observed, but it is not possible for police to check each and every personnel and vehicle
@Hobi Haripur wala: Where is Generaal Sharif Sahib?
Interesting question... how can the army chief of a country at war afford to spend ten days visiting the United States, then another three days in United Kingdom, and then yet another three days in China... and in between he also gave time for betterment of Hockey... wonder what was he discussing with the Americans for 10 long days... that is a very long discussion indeed...
Where is Generaal Sharif Sahib? Or his friend Nawaz?
I fully support them. Inquiry Report should be made public, else there is no use of it, as we have learned from our past.
@Explain: Lets say that K Police took money and let the terrorists go. But what about the Ammunition? Who is responsible for the arms trafficking across the borders? Who has failed to clean the ammunition factories in northern areas? Who has failed to check the drug trafficking by which the terrorist operations are financed? And kindly also compare the budget allocated for Army and budget allocated for Police
@Raider army is controlling school but there are hundred checkpost of so called KP police all around province. through which terrorist likely crossed. and for your kind info the so called police which PTI pages praise 24/7 ,have been witnessed by me several times taking money from cars and letting them go!!!!
a biggest terrorist attack on our pak zameen, why govt are quiet, at least give them all of shaheed families "SITARAY JURAT " OR NISHANE HAIDER" where is the sympathy gone.
they should demand justice from pak army, army is governing state now and very school belongs to army for security
DG ISPR should issue press release whatever is the finding of Pakistan Army in respect with December 16, 2014 attack on Army Public School, Peshawar.
Protest against the political leaders and the govt is a normal thing, but protest against Army will be an unusual thing in the country.
It is a lost cause. PTI and PML have been great admirer and apologists of those terrorists and Pak Army has been there creator and chief sustainers in this region. And above all, grieving parents cannot even play a religious card against them which can shut every suspecting tongues. I fear in the end they will lynched and accused of being foreign agent to destabilise Pakistan and defaming Islam in the world.
"The government and the army are responsible for the killing of the children, the leaders should answer our questions, they maintained." Parents have now realized that in guise of giving them justice, Govt and Army have tricked them and used this incident for their own petty advantages. They carried out that US action plan instead of going out against real terrorist (US) who sit in large and secure castles. US used this incident to further tighten its grip upon Pakistan and spread this disastrous war further.
Damned if I do and Damned if I don't! Pick your choice!
This will be a protest worth joining. I hope there are huge numbers out on the streets, so many that there is no room left in the city of Peshawar. Enough is enough... the government and Army are both not competent in protecting lives of citizens.
