PESHAWAR:

The mothers of children martyred in the brazen attack by the Taliban on APS Peshawar gave a 48-hour deadline to the government and the military to make public the inquiry report of December 16 massacre, or else they will come out on roads and stage protests.

The parents of martyred children gathered on Monday and criticised the government and the army over their failure to bring the militants to justice.

It was the mothers this time, who did most of the talking as fathers of the martyred children avoided centre-stage during a news conference, where the former demanded of the interior minister to tender his resignation.

The mothers of martyred children said Chaudhry Nisar has said in a press conference that government had prior information about such attack, however, they did nothing. He should resign.

The government and the army are responsible for the killing of the children, the leaders should answer our questions, they maintained.

A mother, while talking to The Express Tribune, said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has also failed to fulfill his promise as he had promised the parents that inquiry of the incident will be made public in 16 days.

The parents of martyred children announced that they will take out a rally in Peshawar on Saturday to record their protest. They further asked the people from all walks of life to join their protest and help them get justice.
