Watch out, the Gorillaz may be making a comeback

Co-creator posts new artwork of band members Murdoc and Noodle before telling a fan that they will return.

Gorillaz, the animated alternative rock band, may be making a comeback. Fittingly, co-creator Jamie Hewlett announced their return through new artwork of band members Murdoc and Noodle on social media site Instagram on Saturday, the Huffington Post reported.

The art work, showed a shirt-less Murdoc with what looks to be a Thompson submachine gun tucked under his left arm and a playful toothy smile.

When asked, Hewlett replied to a fan’s comment about the band coming back by saying, “Yes. Gorillaz Returns.”

If the band is indeed making a comeback, it means the creators of virtual band have straightened out differences with creator Damon Albarn.

The last Gorillaz album, “The Fall”, was released in 2011 and achieved great success.
