Relationship with Islamabad is vital, says spokesperson

WASHINGTON: The United States said it would continue to have a close strategic partnership with Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported. 

State Department Spokesperson, Jen Psaki in Washington said that the United States' relationship with Islamabad is strong and vital for its strategic needs.

With continued tension between India and Pakistan and shelling on the line of control and the Working Boundary, the spokesperson said that the two countries should enter into a dialogue for a peaceful resolution of their issues.
