New Restrictions: Govt bans transfer, posting of teachers

The ban seeks to ensure strong academic standards in government colleges and avoid losses to the exchequer.

PESHAWAR: The provincial government has imposed a ban on postings and transfers of college teachers forthwith. According to a notification issued on Thursday by the higher education department, the ban seeks to ensure strong academic standards in government colleges and avoid losses to the exchequer. The notification said proposals for postings and transfers will only be considered during summer and winter vacations in light of academic needs. All decisions will be taken in accordance with the Civil Servants Act 1973.
