Joining Hands: Pakistan holds trade conference in UK

More than 50 CEOs and representatives of British as well as Pakistani companies attended the conference.

ISLAMABAD: The third annual UK-Pakistan Trade and Investment Conference was held in London, aimed at highlighting to the UK businesses the opportunities in Pakistan’s economy. The event was organised by the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission in London, said a statement issued by the Board of Investment (BoI). The focus of the conference was on financial and professional services. Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minster for Pakistan, Tobias Ellwood MP, represented the British government in the conference. More than 50 CEOs and representatives of British as well as Pakistani companies attended the conference. “We firmly believe we can play a part in building Pakistan’s economy and opening doors to UK business,” said Tobias Ellwood while addressing the conference.
