At the Pakistan Ulema Council conference, it was no different.
As Rashid addressed the conference, PTI’s Fayyazul Hasan Chohan interrupted the minister’s speech, expressing his views loudly and not allowing anyone else to speak.
Chohan alleged the information minister was not representing the stance of Muslims on blasphemy properly in the international forum.
Pakistan Ulema Council chairman Tahir Ashrafi tried to calm down the two and take control of the situation but to no avail.
Ultimately, the heated debate ended with the PTI boycotting the conference and departing from the venue.
Rashid presses for united front of all religions to promite harmony
Rashid said that all religions must respect the sanctity of other faiths, and religious leaders should play their role in this regard, Radio Pakistan reported.
Addressing the council, Rashid said there should be a united front of all faiths to promote harmony among different religions.
The information minister argued that not only Muslims but followers of all the religions have also strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous caricatures against Islam.
“…we have gathered to condemn the shameful act of French cartoonist and express, share our feelings,” he said. “…Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a beacon of light for all of us, and by following his teachings we can respond to the enemies of Muslims in a befitting manner.”
Rashid thanked Pope Francis for supporting the stance of Muslims, saying that a delegation from Pakistan should visit the Vatican City and meet with the pope to thank him personally.

Actually none of the links prove anything other than giving blanket statements. Regardless, in one of the article, NADRA clearly distances itself from reports. Furhter, what is the definition of bogus/unverified votes. Is it because of bad ink? Actually yes bad ink is reason for many unverified votes but what does that mean? Nothing. It means fix the system for future. In one artice, even if all 4,000 bogus votes are thought of as bogus, PMLN still wins by a wide margin. The result is not statistically different from past efforts. Further, even if there is massive rigging in NA 118 or what ever seat, why hasn't election commission asked for reelection and above all where is the proof that ex CJP, ex COAS, ex Justice Ramday are involved and even more so where is the proof / trend of a massive rigging to bring PMLN in power. Rigging in Karachi happened, so was it also to get PMLN in power? Why are we drawing lines to PMLN and letting go MQM. None of this really matters, what matter is that a Judicial commission must sit and Investigate weather there was an ORGANIZED rigging designed by ex CJP, ex COAS, ex Justice Ramday or not! What happened in individual polling stations is irrelevant. Until we know why Imran decided to blame all of these institution there is no further discussion needed.
No idea what you read from the links but let me quote some of the extracts:
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has finally conceded in its verification report that 259 out of the 325 polling bags of constituency NA-118, Lahore, contained bogus ballots, Express Investigation Cell (EIC) learnt on Wednesday.
According to experts, NADRA had submitted its verification report to the election tribunal on June 9, which spoke of unprecedented rigging in NA-118 in last year’s general elections.
No idwa what you read from the links but let me quote some of the extracts:

@links are news reports. Look at note below one of report, NADRA distanced itself from report. For other link is quite clear that verdict is not out and it's opinion you are noting. Sorry in real life you have to prove accusation. Where is proof ex CJP rigged or ex COAS rigged or Najaf sethi rigged? Answer is nowhere. No organized rigging happened. Either agree with it or keep loving in fools paradise.
Admin please post my comments:
H Chaudhry, how many links would you like? Feel free to do your own investiogation

I can sedn you a dozen more links if you need it. Please do some research. It is not that hard.
@Salman Its actually PTI and Imran seeing hidden hand in his defeat from Justice Ramday to Sethi to Ex CJP to Ex COAS. We are just saying try to prove this and show us where and how an "ORGANIZED" rigging took place to get PMLN in. I know for sure that I and all of my extended family voted PMLN like always and like we will do in future if no one else showed us a better model. In a way you are trying to steal my vote by crook because Imran wants to be PM. That said, try to prove allegations.
@bilal There is nothing in NA 118, 128 reports that suggests there was an organized rigging designed by ex CJP/ex COAS and executed by Najam Sethi. All it says, there are irregularities like it happened in past. What does that mean? Nothing! Yes, its time to fix the electoral system for good, fix these irregularities but this DOES NOT mean organized rigging happened and certainly doesn't mean Govt resign and new elections happen. Next elections are in 2018 and nothing can be done about it period.
F Khan... kindly read my comment in full. I gave the reason ... NA 118 and NA 128.. Typical Noora supporter... pretending to be ignorant.
@F Khan: No, not really....there was a petrol shortage and there are allegations of election rigging. Two things are not related. Both are possible independently.
One is the because of pmln incompetence, the other is because of alleged pmln fraud.
You pmln guys really do see a hidden hand behind everything!
@bilal: since there is a petrol crisis. this means the elections were rigged. mashallah what an argument.you look quite senior in pti ranks.
No light... no gas... no petrol.... . Things getting worse but lets not blame the Government. Brilliant. PMLN OWN GOVERNOR... said that law and order has gotten worse and he is in pain seeing how helpless he is and people are. But some how Noora supporters want to present a picture that every thing is going in the right direction ! Truly hopeless. Did anyone read the investigation result of NA 118, NA128? God knows what we will find when voter verification/audit will reveal in other constituencies. But again let us all pretend we do not know this.
@Salman wait for 2018 and vote some one else that you may think is better at business. We will do the same. Things happen and nothing is perfect, overall we live in a country where genocides were committed, wars lost, Balochi leaders murdered, and really no accountability happened. As I said 16 years of criminal negligence will not be fixed overnight and mistakes will continue to happen because that is how things happen in real life. I am as an educated person can not simply blame any thing and every thing with out taking account of context. The context as I understand, the current Govt is working its tail off compared to regimes before and it is a journey of learning. If you don't like it, don't vote for them in 2018 and I will do the same based on results of 5 year performance.
@H Chaudhry: Petrol crisis is over...for now, but question is, why was there a petrol crisis in the first place?
Should the "most experienced" economic team of PMLN not have foreseen the shortage/crisis? Certainly there were enough warnings about it in the press.
Like I said, the most experienced team and good at business, etc claims made by PMLN have been exposed as a myth.
See, also I want a govt that has some foresight, not always in firefighting mode. And also one that places the right people in the right jobs, not fills up govt with friends and family.
@Salman Petrol shortage is over, price of petrol is still going down, things will be OK for us PMLN supporters in 2018 for Sake of Pakistan. If not I will vote some one else, that is a promise but for now, sorry to burst your bubble but we are fine and trying to fix criminal negligence of last 16 years.
Load shedding is happening because of the continual top down recursive corruption; the culture of kick backs, commission, loan defaults, undisclosed offshore family ownership, money laundering, all this manifests itself itself in different forms. Why these things don’t happen in healthy democracies of the world? Pakistan is a democracy of nepotism, family ownership, and democracy of partners in business crimes,
@ex PTI supporter: where do you find sense in plmn, hahahaha
@ex PTI supporter: Maybe they offered you 1 litre petrol to join PMLN.
No one is talking about the issue they were gathered for. Instead here also people are taking sides. I unbiasedly wanted to see a Million march by all the parties to show France that we don't like what they did. And to arrange the million march was the responsibility of the current government, which failed miserably. Let me say that who cannot provide you, water, gas, petrol, electric, then how can they call all parties to one table. I don't support Fayyazul Hassan and also did not like the way he responded. But did you listen to what he was actually saying? On the other hand, why do we need to send a delegation to thank the Pope. You already thanked him on TV and that is more than enough. The money you will put to send a delegation all the way to Vatican, can be utilized to feed the children of Thar!
PTI party slogan should be 'my way or the highway'.Shame on Fayyazul Hassan. There is a difference between d chowk and ulema council meeting.
One of the reasons, I left PTI and Joined PML N. These people are nonsense and bulk of idiots.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Along with that, they need to replace the word dimwit with PMLN.Fairenough i say!!
A PMLN liar in chief and an alocholic Alim in a "religous" conference! Only in Pakistan such a hypocracy can exist! Wll done PTI, there is no need to be in such a gathering!
When ever PMLN/PPP or other hypocrites like them have a go at PTI.... it is a sign of relief that PTI must be doing some thing right. Let the record show that ignorant PTI critics had no answer to my comments above.
It looks like that "T" in PTI stands for "Thicko"!
it is better to disagree and leave.....In status quo ki bakwaas sunne ka faida nai.
A bit confused, the article doesn't say why the pti dude got annoyed and interrupted, or what was rashid saying at that time... Very poor written!!!
The travel expenditure for the delegation will be paid by Pervez Rashid from his own pocket not from taxpayers money.
@Adnan Siddiqi: i could not find single comment to date from your id that looks rational
I'm amazed to see the comments by PML-N trolls......say something about the incompetency of your beloved leaders who are responsible to bring absolute misery to the lives of poor Pakistanis !!!!!
chohan is a hero, who could have possibly managed to listen the crap out of the mouth of No1 liar and an alcoholic Aalm e Din any way...
First replace this word cartoons to farigh trolls league
That was not a good representation by PTI If this continue unabated PTI would loose a lot of support from the educated young people of Pakistan.
Imran Khan must rein in these individuals who because have nothing productive to contribute just create confusion and do not respect the host.
Very unprofessional and not at all expected of PTI
I don't know what could be rather insulting; being asked to take a hike or being asked to take a hike by someone like Tahir Ashrafi. I guess bearing all kinds of insults and humiliation is an inherent quality of everyone following PTI.
Chohan is an absolute Janwar with no manners at all. He used to be a hooligan in Jamiyat. I wonder if entire PTI is like him.
@Raider And how do you know people commenting here are also not commenting/reading other national news ? pretty clueless argument my friend...
instead of commenting on any national issue, trolls seems to look pti related news and fill the ET comment box with ease and deter so arrogantly against a party which have never been in power, i am neutral plz dont censor me atleast
Adnan Siddiqi... known qabza group ! and yet your PMLN govt is not doing ANYTHING againt it? Oh wait... i forgot... PPP and PMLN stands for 'all the rights and none of the responsibilities' ... just brilliant.
Salute to your igornace.
Load shedding is happening because of the continual top down recursive corruption; the culture of kick backs, commission, loan defaults, undisclosed offshore family ownership, money laundering, all this manifests itself itself in different forms. @Blithe he was not kicked out. He made a choice to leave.
@H Chaudhry: Solid steps? hahahhah
Havent these "ullema" people done enough damage to the country already? How much more will you take to stop being their slaves?
If a known tout of Qabza Group and other unsavory elements in Rawalpindi (Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan) is PTI's representative on religion, than may Allah have mercy on such a fan club. Locking these people in a cage should be the social norm.
Admin not posting my comments.. ! H Chaudhry ... noora supporter i believe?
Did this Govt claim to resolve the issue in 6 months? Sure they did not create the issue BUT unlike previous Govt... this one MASSIVELY increased poweer rates... or did they not? Things have gottten worse.
But lets pretend we do not know this.
@MA Instead of being childish and asking rhetorical question, putting some thoughts and efforts in understanding problem will go long way. The load shedding is not happening because of this Government. It is happening because of 16 years of gross mismanagement and negligence of both military and civil governments. If anything this government has taken solid steps towards bring power sector back to life. It is not magic and things do not change over night and before you get to but some one promised 6 months, some one else also promised corruption end in 90 days. Try to differentiate between political statements and actual issues. 2018 will be a good year to judge on what this government did is long term or not.
Do not know which PTI Tiger wrote this report in the Tribune, but the facts are nothing like what is stated here. "...tried to calm down the two.." really? All I see is one guy shouting over there.
These are the so called 'educated' people of PTI.
@Ch. Allah Daad: please recomend a replacement for the words 'roshan Pakistan' also.
Every passing day gives people some thing to think about PTI and if this childish party led by a peter pan himself is any good. Time to move on and press ignore button on PTI. 2018 elections will give people choice again and its time now to work instead of wasting time with PTI.
He could've waited for his turn to state this, reather than creating a ruckus and speak when someone is already delivering a speech. Its best if these PTI workers behave like civilized human being's rather than savages.
So the only purpose of PTI to do politics on all matters
Glad that the miscreant was kicked out - this isn't D Chowk
In English dictionary word "Hooliganism" should be replaced with word "PTI".
Well done PTI.
