Brown gives WI ‘A’ the upper hand

Odean Brown gave West Indies ‘A’ the upper hand on the third day of the second unofficial Test at Arnos Vale after an impressive all-round performance against Pakistan ‘A’. Brown first steadied the hosts’ innings with a career-best 66 after leg-spinner Yasir Shah battered the West Indies line-up grabbing five wickets. Brown, whose previous highest first-class score in 51 innings was 33, helped West Indies reach 357 in the first innings.

He then took three wickets to put Pakistan under pressure, leaving them at 122 for three at stumps, just 26 ahead in their second innings. Khurram Manzoor, who scored a century in the first-innings, was unbeaten on 66 and Faisal Iqbal was at the crease, batting on 33.
