Karachi Eat brings foodie nirvana to the city

KARACHI:
Karachi Eat 2015 kicks off tomorrow with Frere Hall turning into foodie paradise.
The food festival provides a delectable culinary snapshot of various cuisines, from sandwiches and pizzas to chapli kebabs and khaosay, the variety is sure to satiate every foodie’s appetite. And, of course, no food festival would be complete without delectable desserts, including cupcakes and churros.
Karachiites would be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity to sample cuisines and perhaps enjoy the beautiful weather in Frere Hall.
So much to eat, so little stomach space! But don’t worry, you can come back for multiple helpings. Karachi Eat runs from January 23 to January 25 from 4:00pm to 11:00pm.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on some of the participating establishments as they recommend to us what to look out for from their stalls.
Okra
The setting may be informal, but Okra is offering a fine dining experience with three items on their menu:
1. Turkish kofta
2. Moroccan style chicken in focaccia bread
3. Rigatoni pasta
Okra recommends: Turkish kofta
Unfortunately, the stall will only be there on Saturday.
Hoagies
The reigning king of sandwiches Hoagies will be offering these selected delights on all three days.
1. Hottie
2. Hogalicious
3. Crispy fried chicken
4. Honky style fries
5. Regular and curly fries

Not only a cosy place to read and interact, the T2f's kitchen cooks up a storm and will be offering a range of items to munch on.

Pane & Amore
Known for its scrumptious cupcakes, the dessert heaven will fulfill our gluttonous appetites with three must-haves at the festival.

The Deli
The gourmet cuisine, which offers a wide range of savoury dishes, will also be serving a culinary delight at the festival.

4. Hot soup -- the flavour is being kept a secret so expect a good surprise

Pantry
The eateries based in Zamzama known for its pizzas will also be at the festival offering both sweet and savoury.

The masters of khaosay tell us their must try:
