The rebuttal came after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sought an explanation from Pirzada for the statement he made while addressing the two-day ‘Idea Conclave’ organised by the Jinnah Institute in Islamabad on Tuesday.
According to media reports, the minister had blamed the oil-rich kingdom’s alleged nexus with the United States for instability in the Muslim world, particularly in Pakistan.
“The Muslim world has also been damaged by the influx of Saudi money and we need to take ownership of our faith,” Pirzada was quoted as saying.
In his clarification, the minister alleged that the media had grossly misreported his statement and angled it negatively. "I was quoted out of context," Pirzada said, adding that what had been reported was not what he had said at all.
“I am ready to explain personally if the honourable prime minister deems so. It was not meant for embarrassing the PM or the government.”

Get ready for a spank ;) then you ll go " you shoot me down i hit the ground, bang bang :D my baby shoot me down".
You can still save your face Mr. Pirzada......the only thing you can do is to replace the term "Saudi" with "India" and everybody will be happy.....:)
I knew this already........just waiting for it.
It took guts to admit the middle easts nefarious schemes that have brought nothing but destruction to this country, Mr. Minister. So we also understand the pressure you have to bear as a consequence, specially from Saudi lap dogs and generally from the ignorant masses. But let the truth be known and hopefully a cascading effect will bring a nationwide condemnation of those Bedouins.
Pakistan does not behave like a sovereign nation. It is just a mob where anybody can say anything.
When I read your statement yesterday, I was pleased to see someone in the corridors of power brave enough to speak the truth. Please do not back out now. If we cannot acknowledge the root cause of our problems, we will never be able to fix it.
LOL now this minister is worried about smacks from PM(servant of Saudis) and Masters/Saudis. Very smartly he did not elaborate what he actually meant or said. He bought time to make up a story later.
'Misquoted' ha ha ha ...
