QUETTA:
A top police official announced on Friday that private and state-run schools in Quetta would not be allowed to reopen until adequate security measures are taken by their respective administrations. Addressing a news conference at the CCPO office, SSP Operations Aetezaz Goraya said, “The schools would not be allowed to reopen if they do not fulfill security requirements.” The institutions are due to resume activities in March following the conclusion of winter vacations. The SPP revealed, police had seized dozens of SIM cards of Afghanistan, hundreds of fake Pakistan Army and police cards, counterfeit passports and visa stickers and confiscated computers following a raid on a shop at Airport Road. Furthermore, Goraya said 125 illegal Afghan immigrants had been arrested since January 1st of this year.
