Corporate corner: Zong selects Symantec Appliances

The company holds over 100 terabytes of information, across 200-plus servers over three data centres.

Karachi. Zong, a growing telecom operator in Pakistan, with an aim to solve data expansion challenges, has selected Symantec Netbackup Appliances and Software Solutions to enhance customers’ data protection. Zong IT Director Muhammad Wajid said the company was facing exponential data growth and hence, Data Protection Optimisation will benefit faster backups and replication. It will also reduce backup storage costs. Netbackup delivers agile and scalable data recovery tools, which will enable Zong to optimise business operations. The company holds over 100 terabytes of information, across 200-plus servers over three data centres.
