Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has directed the Sindh government to expedite computerisation of land record so that not only record of rights could be made safe and secure. He ordered linking recovery of land revenue or ‘dhal’ with the system through Sindh Bank. “This new mechanism of recoveries will enhance the government revenue manifold,” the former president noted. He was presiding over a high-level meeting regarding computerisation of land records at the CM House on Wednesday evening. Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah said that the computerisation of land records of all the districts of the province was launched in September 2011 and it would be completed by the end of June 2015. He said that there are 6,000 dehs in Sindh. “We have processed data verification of 2,224 dehs, of them verification of 1,237 dehs or 55% have been completed,” he elaborated.
