Dr Aauj Kamal was appointed the chairperson of the mass media department at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast), said university officials on Thursday.
Kamal, who has been conferred upon a doctorate on his thesis, titled ‘Research Analysis of 20th Century Literary Magazines’, was promoted to the designation of associate professor in BPS-22.
He has been associated with the Fuuast mass media department for the past 25 years and has also penned a series of books. These books have been included in the curriculum of different universities.
Besides a degree in mass communication, Kamal holds another in international relations.
He is presently serving as the honorary editor of the literary magazine, Duniya-e-Adab besides being a teacher at the university.
