Motive Unknown: Two injured in attack on police van

DI KHAN: A police van came under attack in Kulachi tehsil of DI Khan on Thursday, leaving two policemen injured. The incident occurred in Gora Mastan where a rocket was fired on a van carrying police personnel. A police official said five unidentified men opened fire on the vehicle immediately after the rocket landed and escaped after reinforcements arrived at the spot. The vehicle belonged to Daraban police and was on routine patrol, the official added. The injured were identified as ASI Abdul Sattar and Constable Javed. They were shifted to DI Khan District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
