Targeted : Policeman shot dead in Malir

KARACHI: A policeman, identified as 35-year-old Malik Hafeez, was shot dead in Malir on Wednesday. The deceased was posted to the Malir City police station and was recently transferred to Police Headquarters, Saudabad. Unidentified armed motorcyclists targeted and killed him in the Ghazi Goth area of Malir City. He was shot at least five times and died on the spot. His body was taken to Jinnah hospital. Hafeez hailed from Gujrat and has left his behind a widow and a daughter. The police have yet to register the case but high-ranking officials have suspended Malir City SHO Abdul Khalique in the aftermath of the shooting.
