PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak has urged Pakistanis living abroad to donate generously to the provincial government’s Tameer-e-School programme to make missing facilities available at government schools. While addressing a delegation of overseas Pakistanis and PTI North West UK President Abdul Basit Shah Mashwani at Chief Minister House on Tuesday, Khattak said all necessary details about the programme are mentioned on its website. The CM added facilities such as furniture, boundary walls, toilets, fans, water supply and even classrooms are missing in many public schools, and any philanthropist can take the responsibility of making these facilities available for students. The delegation told the CM that overseas Pakistanis want to see Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa as a model province and were eager to play their due role in its progress and prosperity. PTI North West UK President Mashwani said he had brought a package of about 1,000 pieces of audiovisual equipment to be donated to persons with disabilities and in treatment facilities. He added he had also brought a cheque of £200,000 for the party which he would hand over to Imran Khan soon.
