PESHAWAR: After battling for 16 months, All Saints Church blast victim Farah Javed lost her fight for survival and breathed her last at a private hospital of the city on Sunday. She was just 23.

The deadly suicide blasts that ripped through a Sunday service at the church on September 22, 2013 also killed her grandfather and left her sister injured.

Farah’s brother Salman Javed told journalists the lower half of her body had been paralysed since then. With Farah’s death, the total number of people killed in the terror attack reached 99.

Salman said his sister had been admitted to a private hospital for about one year, three months and nineteen days. He added Farah was hit by three ball bearings in her lower body.

Farah’s treatment continued at the Paraplegic Centre till her demise. Salman further said Farah had done a beautician’s course after passing her Secondary School Certificate examination.

“We were taking her abroad for treatment after ten days. All arrangements had been completed, but she was in a hurry to leave us,” said the bereaved brother.
