Special Adviser to the CM on Technical Education and Transport Malik Shah Khan Wazir has directed all technical and vocational colleges to ensure appropriate security arrangements before January 12. He directed authorities to table reports on the preparations within two days.


“Tangible steps will be taken to secure educational institutions and keep the learning environment safe,” he said.

The provincial government has announced to reopen all schools and colleges on January 12 across the province.

The boundary wall of Army Public School, Warsak Road has been demolished and a new 10-foot-high wall, fenced with barbed wire, has been erected. CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates have also been installed at the school.

Meanwhile, DI Khan DIG Abdul Ghaffar Afridi chaired a meeting of education department officials and heads of educational institutions of DI Khan and Tank and reviewed security measures taken up by schools and colleges.

An SOS system has been implemented in the district through which all information about law and order will be transmitted to security officials by the touch of a button on mobile phones.
