The local business community is planning to establish a food, meat and vegetable cold storage centre at the Sialkot International Airport. While talking to media, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Fazal Jilani said, “We are trying to obtain necessary funds from the Export Development Fund (EDF) for undertaking the mega food and vegetable cold storage project.”


The basic concept of the proposed project is to increase fruits, meat and vegetables exports in an attempt to earn foreign exchange, he said.


Jilani was confident that the federal government would extend its support and cooperation for the completion of this proposed project that would generate employment opportunities.
