Another execution: Khalid Mehmood hanged in Pindi

RAWALPINDI: A former technician of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Khalid Mehmood, was executed in Adiala Jail late Friday night. “The former technician of PAF was hanged in Adiala Jail at 9:30pm” a source told to The Express Tribune. Security around the prison was beefed up at the time of his execution, he added. Khalid Mehmood, son of Ahmed Khan, hailed from Chakwal and was associated with 310 GC Wing of PAF. He was picked up by security agencies on account of launching an attack on former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on December 14, 2003 on Airport Road, Rawalpindi within the limits of police station Civil Line.  Later, Khalid Mehmood was tried in Field General Court Martial and was awarded death sentence under the Army Act on 3, October, 2005.
