Public-private partnership: Nine development projects approved

The decision was taken at a meeting held at Chief Minister House

KARACHI: The public-private partnership policy board decided to approve nine development projects under the public-private partnership mode of investment on Friday. The decision was taken at a meeting held at Chief Minister House, presided over by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. The Inter-City Bus Transport Project from Karachi to each divisional headquarter of the province is among the projects that are to be initiated. As many as 100 new buses will be inducted at an estimated cost of Rs2 billion. Other projects are the bus rapid transit system for Karachi residents and 1,700-meter-long Jhirk-Mula Khatiar Bridge on River Indus in Thatta district.
