ISLAMABAD: The government is considering constructing a dam at Chirah on Soan River.

State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad told the National Assembly that the dam’s design had been prepared but its approval from the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) had yet to be taken.


He said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Punjab government would share the construction cost as well as the water resources from the dam.
