30 Under 30: Pakistani woman lands Forbes list

LAHORE: Buksh Foundation CEO Fiza Farhan has been selected in the Forbes 30 under 30 list of social entrepreneurs. She is the fourth woman from Pakistan who has been shortlisted in this list after due diligence and stringent selection. Forbes believes that these social entrepreneurs are the ‘game changers’– changing the world. Farhan has been selected on the basis of bringing clean energy loans and innovative impact investment projects to the poor, rural areas of Pakistan and in this pursuit, has been able to train 135 women as energy entrepreneurs; who have brought solar energy to 6,750 households. Farhan believes that becoming a part of this list will not only help them to promote the work on a global arena but it will also motivate other Pakistani women to realise their great potential.
