New portfolio: Mushahidullah appointed federal minister

President Mamnoon Hussain approves recommendation put forth by PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday appointed Senator Mushahidullah Khan as federal minister, said a statement issued by the presidency, however, no announcement was made regarding his portfolio. President Mamnoon Hussain approved the recommendation put forth by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asking for the appointment of Mushahidullah as federal minister. He will take oath of the newly allotted office on Tuesday (today). With the addition of Mushahidullah, the number of incumbent federal ministers has reached 21 while there are 10 ministers of state, three advisers to the premier and five special assistants. The prime minister had reportedly been contemplating reshuffle in the federal cabinet on the basis of performance. Though the cabinet members gave detailed briefings about their ministries and departments, the government has not made any changes in the cabinet as it was announced.
