PESHAWAR: At least 31 suspect militants were killed on Saturday during an operation conducted by the security forces in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), four suspected militant dens and a suicide bomber training centre were destroyed in air strikes on Saturday.

However, officials have not yet disclosed the identity of the militants killed.

Officials claim that the ongoing military operation 'Khyber I', has killed more than 200 suspected militants.

The officials further claim that as many as 300 militants associated with banned militant groups have surrendered to security forces so far.

Why bombing from air? It could kill women and children. Better use ground forces where casualties will be minimal.
