People of Pakistan are fed up with this perpetual threat and want and demand that those who terrorize us are finally destroyed using whatever authority and whatever power that has to be used. We have a civilian set up and so called democratic dispensation with all the paraphernalia that goes with it (judiciary, pArliaments, opposition parties etc. Etc.) Who have consistently and uniformly failed to provide security and protection to us the citizens, now time has come that our military comes forward and plays its role according to the oath they have taken to defend us and our country from any threats and any aggressions whether external or indigenous. We demand that our military leadership must fulfill their duties, even if it means sacrificing the existing system the whole lot of it. We are at war and all is fair and justifiable right now.
@Azi: I am from Pakistan and I agree with Chandran, you don't need to twist things look at objectively.
@chandran:
Hence you prove my point of Pakistan obsession. Your concern for Pakistan's matters is obviously much more important to your own people dying or raping foreigners. Pretty happy not to be suffering the same ailment as you.
@Azi
No problem if you take notice about the Assam attack because your house in the same street and I can't tell you that you can't visit your home because my house also there in the street. Further I have said that we are neighbor and not said friendly neighbor. Finally it called neighborhood watch.
@chandran:
Just being neighbors dont qualify being obsessive. Having 5 nations in our neighbor, 1 being amazingly childish we dont show the similar trait. Maybe take this time to take a look into your own country? I never heard anything again about that attack that left 50 ish people in assam, why dont you dig some news on it?
Because our political leaders realize their political affiliation with all those extremist outfits that the terrorists belong to, which they have used in past to take revenge from their political opponents, and so now can't go against their friends. They will need them in next election regardless of their activities. In their opinion Pak Army don't stand in elections and should take it upon them self for doing the DEED!
@Azi *Hey chandran, thank you for your input. I have a question, why are you and your country so obsessed with Pakistan?*
For simple reason because we are neighbors and you can't change your neighbors by the way Britain or Americans are not your neighbors.
@Blithe:
I can bet you whatever you wish that he is infact Indian. Second, yes we do need to keep these people to concentrate to their own problems because it further motivates more Indians to come here and elsewhere and thrash Pakistan at the slightest news be it real or fictional in which Indian defense ministry excels. Also they have a lot of stuff going on in their own country but they barely comment/ express their ideas there. So I am infact doing them a favor by setting their priorities straight. And you probably don't find any offense here maybe because you are used to taking such abuse. So keep your chandaran sympathies to yourself!
Had you one ounce of humanity you too would be angry with these judges releasing TTP back to kill more and wonder if these judges can live with a possibility that their children could be next. Maybe like our PM you are also waiting on next incident to happen to take things a little more seriously. It is time for naive Pakistani folks to realize that to these elite people your or my children are not as precious as theirs, so the comparison is well said.
Pakistan Military court to be ruled by dirty Mullah is the only hope to keep Pakistan in StoneAge.
When a country is at war with itself, no functionary can fight it independently. Army will never be able to fight the existential internal threat without political support. Sincerity with the objective to eliminate extremism requires all stakeholders to step back and build consensus to move forward whatever may the cost and level of sacrifice be. No more time left on the clock.
Indians are obviously very sad to see their flinching expensive investments being hanged. Truth was gonna catch up to you one day. Now they are provoking by backstabbing in flag meetings and blowing up poor fishermen trying to make a living all to force army to conc. on borders instead of hanging these snakes. Ain't gonna work this time, say
@Uza Syed: Yes their mess they should clean it up and as they go on clean up drive they may also like to inform their countrymen why they raised these monsters in the first place
@Pindi Kid: He has a point. Ever wonder why the Indian judges don't ever quite pakistani jurisprudence, whereas we are always quoting Indian jurisprudence ???
The Indians have not had a hyper army interfering in other institutions - therin lies their success.
Any person having the common sense would know that no COAS will be prepared to implement illegal orders through military courts; it is all the doing of the new strong man who has the pathological need to intervene and run all the institutions of the country. General Sharif has the option to refuse illegal orders from the Prime Minister, who apparently is trying to play George W, simply to hold on to the office.

@anybodyagree: Totally agree!
The real issue is border management . Indian erected a border in 1985 on our eastern side . We need to do the same on the western side .
This is a huge security failure.The military is trying to make it seem as if it is a judicial failure .
@Azi: Why are you picking on Chandran , even though he is agreeing with your point view. He is entitied to comment - and he observed all the decency in expressing his point of view . Please don't pick on him simply because he is Indian . By the way , he could be a pskistani with a Hindu name... Please be careful .
Secondly, please stop playing this "our military children. " vs. " their judiciary children" - it's disgusting . These are Pakistani children - full stop . Stop trying to create needless fissures.
@Rex Minor
And how about you worry about your own country, Afghanistan than ours?
@Rex Minor: You make no sense with your comment as usual. You are suggesting traffic control is of the same dire need of Pakistan as convicting the barbarians who killed our children, women, and other innocent people. How does that make any sense at all? I know you are attempting to make an analogy but as usual it is totally off context and preposterous.
@anybodyagree: you are right, there are many other problems apart from terrorism and economy. for example some parties are creating obstacles in the way of Nawaz government. Some killed by the politicians in power are making problems in the courts. they need to be taught a lesson. No problem for the terrorims, civil courts are already working commendably and we have got enough children and public in the country. If a small number are killed, it makes no difference. so we need no army courts. After all what those will be for?
The army chief is angry with all the jokers amongst the pack. Need to send them packing, and cal for fresh elections.
Its very easy to judge Indian agents in present times, all those opposing military courts are indeed agents of the enemy, they can see that our children are butchered but they are not willing to give army some latitude.
@Ch. Allah Daad: The Army chief has already stated it is not desirable for the military to run courts, however, most people having seen the state of affairs of the civilian judicial system letting off hardened terrorists agree with the army chief that it is the need of the hour. It would be wise to use this time to fix the civilian system while the military is given powers to deal with the terrorists now. How do you think those mothers would feel who lost their children to these barbarians to see their killers set free by the civilian courts as they have been? Or the military to see their attackers get out knowing they are guilty? This is the time to take practical approach, and not get mired in theory and mindless analysis.
Point accepted Sir! How about traffic conrol duties for junior officers?
Rex Minor
When civil courts are not up to doing the job....what other options do we have ?
Whole nation stands with Pakistan Army in their effort to eradicate terrorism from motherland. Army is the only hope.
Nawaz Sharif, Irfan Siddiqi, Ch. Nisar, and Shahbaz Sharif will keep on dilly dallying, and wasting nation's time at the cost of thousands of lives just to appease the militant arms of their party.
Nawaz Sharif needs to be repeatedly kicked just to keep him focused on a job. Otherwise he won't budge. Raheel Sharif should by now know the drill.
As usual, the tunnel visioned Nawaz Sharif and his team of geniuses are ruining the consensus. Over-emphasizing the need of turning the constitution upside down for something, which can be unanimously achieved via a mere act of parliament, is engineered to create divisions in the parliament just for the benefit of their terrorist friends.
If the politetians does not let the military courts then to get rid of the country with the terrorits army should bring the martial law and deals with the terrorists and the polititians who has kept their malitias to terrorise their opponets.

Military Courts not a very good option at the present time, other problems!!! should be addressed first...... Anybodyagree.....???
No sensible and patriotic army commander would like to be judge, jury and prosecutor. It would vey stupid of any person of authority to seek power and use it which is against human rights and norms of social justice. No powerful person or organization can escape or hide from social media's criticism and accountability.
Military Court, Though not an ideal choice but seems to be the only effective method left, since the politicians and the courts has totally failed the nation, The Military court may get the result the Nation is seeking. Justice and Peace.
I'm beeing watching pakistan politics quiet some time, here I'm support military court because civil court judges hearing the terrorist cases either being threatened or being killed. Some time civil court judges refuse to hear those cases. On this point of view military court desirable.
Army calling the shots.
