NAROWAL: While the rest of the world was enjoying fireworks on New Year’s Eve, India’s Border Security Forces (BSF) unleashed a barrage of gunfire and mortar shelling on the innocent villagers living in the Shakargarh sector of the Sialkot working boundary.

The BSF soldiers continued unprovoked firing on villages intermittently all through the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

According to senior officials of the Chenab Rangers, the Indian toops again targeted the civilian population in the border villages in Shakargarh sector particularly Bhoray Chak, Sukho Chak, Chekay Chak, Chitar, Sukhmal, Tarapura and Abial Dogar. The Chenab Rangers retaliated effectively and made the Indian guns silent, they said.

Only two days ago, BSF had killed two Rangers officials who had gone for a flag meeting on the invitation of the local BSF commander.

@Pity: That is your side of view bro not mine, my side says that BSF retaliated after it's jawan was killed and thereafter 4 Pakistani rangers lost their life. So do not expect me to respond to your ISPR narrative of soldiers being killed while invited for flag meeting, and as far as my country(India) having knowledge about international rules, it does know that you do not send junior soldiers and niaks for flag meeting. So you keep your story i keep mine. and how come "biggest democracy" comes into this discussion, every country defends its borders and civilians leave apart "biggest democracy".

@Professor:

Why has India spent funds on fencing of the border when it has to kill Pakistanis for protection? Why did the BSF kill Pakistani soldiers after inviting them for a flag meeting? Being a professor, you must be able to answer these questions.
