National Action Plan: PM convenes high-level meeting on Thursday
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Rizwan Akhtar, Federal Ministers Khwaja Asif, Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rashid, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi are expected to attend the meeting.
According to an official statement, the prime minister has decided to regularly convene these follow up meetings to ensure swift implementation of the plan.
According to sources, the civil-military leadership will discuss the progress on the establishment of military courts and the stance of various political parties on the issue. Sources added that before laying the proposed bill of the establishment of military courts in National Assembly, both civilian and military leadership will discuss the matter in detail.

Its been more than 3 weeks since we witnessed brutal Peshawar massacre and this PM is still calling meetings and talking, creating committees etc. When will we see some real action from this PM. Not a single death row Talibans or terrorists have been hanged under his administration's control. We have only witnessed executions from the military side. I am starting to doubt this PM's resolve. He is giving time to those groups to re-group and escape the assault. Where is the element of surprise? We have dumb people or accomplices running the country. The country should not go back to sleep. Let these rulers know that we will not compromise on the elimination of these terrorist groups living in our cities and towns.
All of these meetings are very comforting. Nothing eases the soul like consistent meetings between failed policy implementers.
