QUETTA: A man and his son were shot dead by unidentified assailants on Sariab Road, Quetta on Wednesday.
Police said armed men on motorcycle opened fire at the car near Barma Hotel on the road.
The victims - a young adult and a man in his 50s - sustained bullet wounds in their upper torso as result of the firing.
Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot soon after the incident and took the victims to Provincial Sandeman Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.
The dead were identified as Zubair Jumma Khan and Jumma Khan.
The motive behind the twin murders could not be ascertained. The victims were residents of Kechi Beig, Quetta. Sariab police have started an investigation into the case.
