Restricting movement: Gates of Peshawar University Campus closed

PESHAWAR:

The entry gates of Peshawar University Campus have been closed due to security reasons, leaving students and officials to suffer badly.

The campus includes four main universities of the province, namely University of Peshawar (UoP), University of Engineering and Technology, University of Agriculture and Islamia College and University.

The gates of these universities have been closed while only the main entrance of Peshawar University has been kept open. UoP media officer Akhtar Amin told The Express Tribune all universities have been closed for winter vacations so the administration decided to lock the extra gates.

He said the main entrance is open as it leads to all the universities inside.

The purpose behind limiting entrance points is to minimise extra movement inside the campus to keep the universities safe.
