RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench on Tuesday ordered bailable warrant arrest of SHO Shahzad Town police station after a person accused him of incriminating him in a false case.

SHO Justice Khawaja Imtiaz of LHC Rawalpindi Bench further directed the concerned officials of Shahzad police station Shahzad to appear before court along with the record of the case on December 2.

Shoaib Siddiqui filed a petition in the court maintaining that he had registered a case on July 13, 2010, in Shahzad Town police station after his Honda Civic got stolen.

Siddiqui said after some time he came to know that his vehicle was parked in CIA Rawalpindi office. He informed Shahzad area police station about the presence his car.

Later, the petitioner said a constable threatened to sell the vehicle to him at a very low cost; otherwise his case would be cancelled, but the Siddiqui refused.

He further said the next day, SHO Shahzad Town police station, called the petitioner and asked him to withdraw the case, but again he refused. The SHO arrested him in a false case and obtained three days physical remand.

He said during the remand the SHO and Capt. Liaquat Khan pressurised Siddiqui to withdraw the case. After he refused, he was sent to jail, but later released on bail.

The legal counsel of the petitioner said the vehicle of the petitioner was still in the custody of the accused. The petitioner urged the court to direct the investigation officer to arrest the accused and recover his vehicle.
