Close call: Tribal elder escapes bomb attack unhurt

KHAR: A tribal elder from Salarzai area of Bajaur Agency survived a bomb attack on Monday. Political administration officials from Khar, headquarters of the agency, said unidentified militants planted a high-intensity explosive device along the road near Nakai Tangi village. They added the explosion took place just as Malik Saeedur Rahman’s vehicle was passing by. Fortunately, Rahman and the other occupants of the vehicle survived unhurt. Officials termed it an act of terrorism and said khasadar personnel have launched a search operation in the area. However, no one had been arrested till this report was filed.
