Provincial ameer of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Professor Ibrahim said peace will only prevail once culprits are punished. He was addressing a workers’ convention over the telephone at Shah Mansoor Complex in Swabi on Sunday.
Ibrahim said with the exodus of foreign troops from Afghanistan, both Pakistan and the neighbour will have to resolve their internal conflicts and establish cordial ties.
He urged the government to investigate the security lapse in the APS attack and put those found guilty to justice.
In his address, JI general secretary Liaquat Baloch said the government should formulate policies independently and not pay heed to dictation from elsewhere. He said it is high time the country refuses foreign aid and work towards self-dependence. Baloch lauded the unity portrayed by the nation in the wake of the APS attack and termed it essential for the future of the country.
