In a press conference in Peshawar, political agent Shahab Ali Shah said Saddam allegedly worked as a facilitator to the attackers who killed 150 people on December 16.
"Commander Saddam was a dreaded terrorist, who was killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces in Jamrud town of Khyber tribal region," top local administration official Shahab Ali Shah told a press conference in Peshawar, according to AFP.
"Six of his accomplices were injured and arrested."
Shah said Saddam was also involved in attacks on polio teams, Torkham check post, Swat scouts, schools in K-P and tribal leaders.
An operational commander of TTP-Geedar group, Saddam was reportedly killed on Thursday night in a raid in Jamrud, while six of his accomplices were also arrested.
"Authorities are currently interrogating the injured terrorists," Shah said.

The question is: Why did this not happen before? At least arrest? Peshawar attack was not his first. Unfortunately, thousands of terrorists reside in Pakistan, and most seriously, a substantial proportion of them are well known by the authorities that just do not care as long as it just some foreign terrorist events or if it target some minority groups. It is a disgrace that Pakistan authorities has waited so long.
This term 'facilitator' is too timid. They should be called collaborators. Now there's a family stigma if there ever was one.
At least some relief for killed children's soul....
Why killed????? He must be taken into custody alive for questioning and then killed in front of general public in Peshawar brutally as these idiots killed those innocent angles.
alhamdolillah!!!!
Hopefully soon. All will be killed or arrested.
THIS IS GOOD NEWS. We need to eliminate all those associated with the TTP once and for all. Along with them we need to eliminate or educate the preachers they are also associated with the recruitment process in one way or the other. Lets all rise and stand with our state and society for our children and their children. The society needs all people from all walks of life to stand up and get rid of the terrorists, Its either this or we have to bow to them. Which will be unfortunate as this will mean going back to the dark ages. So ask our selves and decide what sort of society you want to raise your children in
Great work Pakistan !!
