SUKKUR: Either Bilawal Bhutto Zardari or Asif Ali Zardari will be attending the programme to mark the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Buksh on December 27, said Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah.

Shah was talking to the media after he paid a visit to the Garhi Khuda Buksh mausoleum on Thursday. He clarified that there were no rifts between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal and co-chairperson Zardari.

Earlier, the chief minister chaired a meeting of the organising committee and expressed his satisfaction over the security arrangements. Shah announced that the Quran Khwani on December 27 will be held for the party's deceased chairperson, Benazir, and the innocent martyrs of Peshawar.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim is the party president and the most senior jiyala, said Shah, adding that he is not angry with the party leadership. As far as differences of opinion are concerned, he said, they are found everywhere and it is a healthy sign. Shah insisted that Makhdoom is not going anywhere. He belongs to the PPP and will remain in the PPP, he added.

On the establishment of military courts, he said, the ordinary courts are taking a long time due to which terrorists are running their network while sitting in the prisons. "There are security threats on December 27 but I am hopeful that the jiyalas will converge at Garhi Khuda Bux in large numbers," he said.

Had no idea. Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Shah is still able to walk. Thought he was wheel chair bound. When you are 87 years old..... it is hard to rush about.
