SWAT: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani says the army is responsible for catching terrorists not prosecuting them, adding that its the duty of the courts to mete out sentences.
Speaking during his visit to Swat on Wednesday, Kayani said that the cooperation by the people of Swat made the military operations successful.
The army chief inaugurated two schools for girls in the Shamozai area of Barikot and a martyrs park constructed by the Pakistan Army.
Earlier, the army chief addressed tribal elders at the Circuit House in Mingora. General Kayani also got a briefing on the latest situation from Operation Incharge Swat, Major General Ashfaq Nadeem.
