Threat level: Security heightened ahead of Christmas

Plain-cloth police officials to perform duties at churches and public places

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have finalised security arrangements for Christmas. The department will ensure security at churches, markets and other public places. Islamabad Police IG Tahir Alam Khan said that foolproof security arrangements have been made for the occasion. Security has been tightened at entry and exit points of the capital and special checking has been ordered, said the IG. SSP Asmat Ullah Junejo has also directed all superintendents of police, sub-divisional police officers and station house officers for effective patrolling in their areas. Plain-cloth police officials will also perform duties at churches and public places.
