To help security personnel tackle any untoward situation, capacity-building training will be provided to Class-IV government officials and guards at private institutes, said Kohat DPO Saleem Marwat on Tuesday.
The DPO said the decision has been taken in light of the recent attack on Army Public School, Peshawar. He added district police has asked private and government institutes to send their officials and security guards for the special training programme.
Marwat said the guards and officials will be taught how to use sophisticated weapons and deal with emergency situations.
DPO Marwat said weapon licences will be given to those trained. He added some of his colleagues in Kohat have also received threats from militants hence a plan is being chalked out to secure the parameters of vulnerable institutes.
