Targeted: Five injured in firing at BISP office

CHARSADDA: Five people including a woman were injured when unidentified men opened fire at the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) office in Charsadda district on Tuesday. An official of Charsadda police said the incident occurred on Peshawar-Charsadda Road where unidentified men opened fire at people who had arrived at the office from Mohmand Agency. Saida Khan, Gul Zada, Shahid Shah, Asif Khan and a woman were rushed to DHQ Hospital, Charsadda while the assailants managed to flee. He added two of the injured were later shifted to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. Police registered an FIR and started further investigation.
