Death row: Several arrested in search operation

BANNU:

A joint search operation by Bannu police and security forces took place on Sunday in the areas surrounding Central Prison Bannu.

Several suspects were arrested and unlicenced weapons were confiscated during the search. An official of the security forces said they launched an operation with the Bannu Township police force. The teams spread across Domail, Bannu Township and the Link Road area for the purpose of the search, he added.

A large number of weapons without permit were taken from people and several suspects were arrested during the operation, said the forces official.

The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.  He added a search had also been initiated in the same areas on Saturday.
