Pakistan’s Farhan Zaman reached the semi-finals of the 3rd Royal Lake Club Squash Open after beating India’s Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu 3-1 yesterday in their quarter-final that was played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Sandhu won the first game and looked set to claim the second as well. However, Farhan worked hard to snatch the win to level the score at 1-1 and then clinched the following two games to triumph with a scoreline of 10-12, 11-8, 11-8 and 11-9.
The fifth seed will now take on Egypt’s Zahed Mohamed, who is the second seed for the competition.
Apart from Farhan; Khawaja Adil Maqbool, Ammad Fareed and Tayyab Aslam also took part in the competition, but all three crashed out in the first round.
