ISLAMABAD: Following the deadly terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Tuesday called off its plan to observe a nationwide protest on December 19 against the killing of Dr Khalid Soomro and suicide attack on its chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.  The announcement was made by State Minister for Postal Services Abdul Ghafoor Haideri at a press conference. The JUI-F also announced three-day mourning over the attack. He said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government should be held responsible for the attack as it happened in the provincial capital. However, he did not exonerate the federal government and intelligence agencies for not taking measures to deal with the blowback of military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan.  He said that after launching the operation, special security steps should have been taken.
