At least 10 killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Over 10 people were shot dead in different areas of Karachi all throughout Tuesday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rizwan Wasti said unidentified gunmen entered a house in Bhattai Abad area and opened indiscriminate firing, killing two people on the spot.

Police said it was a case of personal enmity.

In another incident, one man was killed in Korangi Bilal Colony, while three others lost their lives in various areas of the city.

Later in the evening, two more people were shot dead in Garden area of Karachi.

According to Express 24/7 correspondent Masror Hausen, the incidents do not seem to be politically motivated bur are rather incidents of crime.

Express Tribune Reporter Salman Siddiqui said that this rise in killings cannot be linked to lifting the pillion riding ban, for most of the killers who use bikes mostly ride alone.
