Peshawar school attack: AJK announces three-day mourning

Akbar said terrorism was a threat to the country and it was time for political leadership to unite against terrorism

MUZAFFARABAD: The AJK government has announced three days of mourning in solidarity with the victims of Peshawar school attack. The govt has also announced Rs0.1 million each for those killed, and Rs50,000 each for the injured in the terrorist attack. “People of AJK will observe three days of mourning and the national and AJK flags will fly at half-mast both at government and private buildings”, AJK Finance Minister Ch Latif Akbar told a press conference on Tuesday. The AJK finance minister welcomed the decision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convene an all-party meeting on Wednesday in Peshawar. Akbar said terrorism was a threat to the country and said it was time for the political leadership to unite in fight against terrorism.
