KARACHI:

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi spokesperson Senator Saeed Ghani condemned the statement given by the coordination committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in which it accused them of supporting criminal groups in Chanesar Goth.

The MQM does not have a political base in Chanesar Goth, Ghani claimed, accusing the party of patronising one of the armed groups in the area to gain influence. He demanded the MQM reveal the criminal record of its slain worker and mention how many FIRs were registered against him.

According to Ghani, crime levels in Chanesar Goth have declined following the targeted operation against criminals in the area.

The PPP Karachi spokesperson also asked MQM chief Altaf Hussain to take notice of the Rabita Committee's irresponsible statements on Chanesar Goth.
