Meanwhile, Mir Hamza’s six-wicket haul guided Karachi Dolphins to victory against Rawalpindi Rams by 120 runs.
Rams resumed their innings on 48-1, requiring 189 more runs to win, but were restricted to just 117 as Hamza bowled brilliantly to claim figures of 6-41 with Babar Rehman taking 3-27.
In the match at the National stadium in Karachi, Ali Sarfaraz hit an unbeaten 112 to steer Islamabad Leopards to a five-wicket victory over Lahore Lions.
Lions resumed their innings at 251-5 and added 74 runs with the help of Umar Siddiqui’s 113 to set a target of 271 to win. However, Leopards achieved the target on the same day in 57.5 overs as Sarfaraz scored 112 off 152 balls.
In the match between UBL and ZTBL, the hosts set a target of 284 to ZTBL, who in reply were 83-4 at the end of the third day; needing another 201 runs to win.
At the Multan Cricket ground, Peshawar Panthers have a stronghold over Multan Tigers, as Taj Wali took four second-innings wickets with Azizullah also claiming two.
Panthers posted a total of 403 in their first innings and bowled out Tigers on 113 to enforce follow-on. The two attackers left Tigers 208-8, still needing 82 runs to make Panthers bat again.
