The petition was accepted for hearing.
Addressing a press conference on December 14, Sadiq’s counsel had said that they would file a writ petition challenging the verdict of the tribunal, as well as a contempt petition which will be filed against the tribunal judge who violated the judgement of the Supreme Court.
He had stated that the Supreme Court's (SC) judgement was clear that the tribunal will decide first the maintainability of the petition which will be filed in election commission, however in this case the maintainability of the petition was not decided before the verdict was handed, which is sheer violation of the SC judgement.
The tribunal’s judgement came after around a year-and-a-half of the proceedings. The case, which was taken up on the PTI chairman’s plea, was inordinately delayed after PML-N MNA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who won the NA-122 seat, obtained a stay order from the LHC.
The LHC dismissed Sadiq’s plea on November 20, allowing the tribunal to finally proceed with the case.

@H Chaudhry: I am not a PTI supporter so telling me PTI is morally corrupt does not bother me. But I know that by running from recounts PMLN has proven PTI correct that they rigged the elections. I also know that PMLN will go to any lengths to keep its looted posts, and thus the massacre of the innocents in Lahore, the beating of the blind people on their day, the lies of ending load shedding and dragging Zardari through the streets, the big fat lie of Nawaz Sharif that he signed no contract with Musharraf to leave the country, amassing of illegal wealth, the list goes on and on. As for the 2018 elections, well that's what you all wish that people will let PMLN continue in power despite coming in fraudulently but that wish will not be granted.
@Kamran:
Ch. Allahdaad is actually Nawaz Sharif in disguise. LOL.
Further what you think and what your opinion means nothing to others. If you think PMLN is morally corrupt good for you. I think PTI is morally corrupt. In eyes of law, Ayaz is correct. Next elections are in 2018 and instead of telling us we have lost moral ground try to get more Votes than us. I can promise you we the PMLN supporters are standing ready.
@Rawalpindi Kid No It shows NOTHING. IF he can not use his legal rights than no one else should. No one should ever take Stay order and no one should ever go to court because some one else wants something. Grow up! Ayaz is correct and he must use all the legal avenues he has. This is great for every one.
In any civilized country if one candidate wants the recount, the recount is done immediately. Why are they so afraid to have ballot verification, it seems that they have done massive vote rigging and now going from pillar to pillar to stop the vote verification. It is just amazing that the current government does not want any investigation of vote rigging, there would have been no Dharnas by PTI if they would have agreed to ballot verification of those 4 constituencies which IK was demanding initially more than a year ago. Truth will come out eventually.
@H Chaudhry: In this case using all his legal rights just shows how scared he is of a recount. He has lost all moral standing to deserve the post he is on by refusing to allow the truth to come out. NA125 just showed it was rigged, and that's what NA122 will show. No wonder Ayaz Sadiq wants to do everything to keep the truth from coming out. PMLN is morally, intellectually, and now legally bankrupt, And I am not even a PTI supporter.
The Governor was upset about the current appointment of VC’s is two public universities. He opposed the decision and didn’t signed the letter for appointment. The news is that governer left for a single day holiday and the speaker of assembly being the authority meanwhile signed those illegal appointments. Initially I thought maybe Ayaz Sadiq non-rigging claims was true but this current event of illegal VC appointment shows his wrong doings.
@Asad: Morality is the last thing on his mind as is the case with PML N.
Good step by Ayaz Sadiq. He is using all his legal rights and this is good omen.
@Ch. Allah Daad: This situation is being created coz recount was not done since 18 MONTHS!!! Why doesnot NS just make the JC and everything will be put to rest. Thank you for agreeing to put the Speaker behind bars if guilty. I hope you give the same Un-biased response for other PMLN ministers if their recount shows fraud.
A PTI Supporter.
A sign of utter desperation! Mr. Speaker please have some moral courage!
Now we all know for sure that IK has been telling the truth!
@Kamran: For you kind information, I have no sympathy with any criminal including all anarchists and fake revolutionary thugs. If Speaker has rigged elections, he must face consequences and sent to jail but others who are spreading anarchy and ruining economy must face consequences too.
my question to all here if the speaker went to the SC against the tribunal judge there must have been something illegal in the tribunals order hence the appeal to the Supreme court and not to third umpire.. all of immys supporters and immy himself need lessons in governance and constitution.
It may have been very embarrassing for him and the ruling party that he is holding the most respectable position in national assembly, I don't know if he still have the courage to face the house, should at least step down from the post.
Sharif court will held Mr. Speaker.
By this time any person with enough intellectual capacity as an average human would realize that this govt. is trying its best to hide facts. Its up to the people still supporting this thief govt to wake up and join IK or doom their own children to serve Nawaz's children.
Anything but a recount!!
I wonder where Ch. Allahdad and other PML-N supporters are hiding now?
And you blame IK for causing hurdles to bring the whole situation to end. This act by mr Sadiq clearly states that he is covering up something that would surly promote the down slide of his government. Yes as a PTI supporter i condemn the closure or various cities in Pak , but it is also important to look at the motivation behind such closures. The government should demonstrate its sincerity for solving the mini civil war between two parties but i am afraid to say that it is not the case.
What a pity Sadiq is part of his name. He should be named Sardar Stay Order!
If the decision by SC of Pakistan ware the same, so as to why the nation held in delay for known reasons. The time and money involved in the matter that did not fall within the jurisdiction of the SC does not need to be heard the case. It was ought of SC to remand the case to jurisdiction court of law instead of kept with it for long time for which the whole nation remained under pressure and the parties altogether.
Mr Sadiq! where all will you take stay orders from? Eventually the truth will be revealed!
The Governor was upset about the current appointment of VC's is two public universities. He opposed the decision and didn't signed the letter for appointment. The news is that governer left for a single day holiday and the speaker of assembly being the authority meanwhile signed those illegal appointments. another Stay Order...........................
I think someone's feeling insecure. Lets get another stay order then?
Dear Sir !
If NA-122 is not checked and Dharna ends, What will be your moral standing ?

Why is he afraid of recount? What does he have to hide?
This confirms 2013-election rigging by NS and company.
