Repeated orders: Fahim told to appear before tribunal

The tribunal judge, Muhammad Ashfaq Baloch, ordered Fahim to appear at the December 18 hearing.

Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians chairperson Makhdoom Amin Fahim has been directed to appear before the election tribunal, Hyderabad, after he evaded presence at the hearing on Friday.


The tribunal judge, Muhammad Ashfaq Baloch, ordered Fahim to appear at the December 18 hearing. Fahim won the election on the national assembly seat, NA-218, for the Matiari district after bagging 93,843 votes.


However, the runner-up candidate of Pakistan Muslim League -Functional Haji Abdul Razzaq Memon, who bagged over 70,000 votes, filed a petition in the tribunal alleging that bogus votes were cast in 139 polling stations.
