Two robbery suspects were killed in a shootout with villagers near Yazman late on Wednesday.
Police said Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Chak 94-DB, told them six robbers snatched cash from one of his employees. “They tied the man and fled on bikes. When the villagers learned about it, they chased them. We traded gunfire with them a short distance from the village. Later, we found that two of the robbers had died in friendly fire,” Aslam said.
Saddar police arrived at the spot and took the bodies to Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
